SOMA Showcases Sustainable Flexo Innovations

SOMA welcomed more than 60 packaging industry professionals to its Esperienza Center in Carmignano di Brenta, Italy, for a successful Demo Day focused on sustainable flexographic printing technologies. The event brought together converters, printers, and industry partners from across Italy to explore the latest developments in water-based
printing, coating, color management, and press automation.

Throughout the day, visitors experienced live demonstrations of the SOMA Optima² flexographic press equipped with Intelligent Printing Unit (IPU) technology, showcasing water-based printing and coating on plastic substrates. The demonstrations highlighted how converters can improve efficiency, reduce waste, and achieve high-quality results while supporting sustainability goals.

A key attraction was innovative SOMA Anilox Management with integrated Anilox Cleaner, providing full visibility into anilox condition through RFID-based tracking. Visitors saw how the system helps reduce setup times, eliminate operator errors, and ensure consistent print quality by ensuring the correct and properly cleaned anilox is always used for every job.

The event also featured expert presentations from industry partners Sun Chemical, Simec, Ulmex, Esko, and BST, covering topics including PPWR-compliant packaging solutions, flexo pre-press workflows, web inspection systems, and print process automation.

“The strong attendance and engagement demonstrated the growing interest in sustainable flexographic production and process automation,” says Matteo Melegatti, Area Sales Manager SOMA. “The Esperienza Center continues to serve as a platform where customers can experience innovations in real production conditions and discuss practical solutions for future packaging challenges.”

PakarPBN

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.

In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.

The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
